DESCRIPTION

AZtecFeature is a particle analysis platform that automates the detection, morphological measurement, compositional analysis and classification of particle, granular and inclusion samples in the SEM. By measuring both composition and morphology on a particle by particle basis, AZtecFeature lets you interpret your data in real time with classification schemes and data review plots you build yourself.

All automatically acquired data is processed with AZtec's Tru-Q® algorithms to ensure reliability and accuracy in the identification and quantification of elements in your samples.

AZtecFeature runs inside your existing AZtec installation on a dedicated navigator. It is not a standalone application and does not need a separate download.

Fast and powerful:
•The FeatureExpress engine lifts analysis speeds from 30,000 particles per hour to in excess of 120,000 pph
•Unleashes the potential of large area Ultim Max SDDs: sensitivity when count rates are low, capacity when they are high
•Up to four detectors combined for maximum throughput and to eliminate shadowing on rough samples
•Up to 200,000 particles characterized on one sample, across thousands of fields of view
•64-bit and truly multi-tasking: parallel analysis and reporting during acquisition
Accurate:
•Tru-Q® gives elemental identification and quantitative analysis without user intervention, which is what makes unattended data collection trustworthy
•Unique pulse pile-up correction holds quantitative accuracy even at the highest count rates
•TruMap deconvolutes overlapping peaks and removes background on the fly
Easy to use:
•Results in seconds on new samples, with no laborious set-up procedure
•Click one particle and others at a similar grey level are detected automatically, with morphology shown instantly
•Fine-tune detection with thresholds and image filters for noise reduction and particle separation
•Store a complete system set-up as a recipe and recall it later
•Summary reports straight into Microsoft Word; full data export into Microsoft Excel
Applications:

Unlike light-optical methods, AZtecFeature classifies particles and features not only by size and shape but also by chemical composition, or any combination of these. Typical applications include technical cleanliness, engine wear analysis, steel cleanliness, forensic analysis, geology and mineralogy, air filter analysis and asbestos fiber identification.

Industry-specific modules build on AZtecFeature:

AZtecFeature is the platform underneath a family of dedicated modules, each licensed separately: AZtecSteel for non-metallic inclusions to international standards, AZtecClean for technical cleanliness to ISO 16232 and VDA 19, AZtecGSR for gunshot residue to ASTM 1588-20, AZtecMineral for automated mineralogy, AZtecBattery for cathode powder cleanliness and AZtecAM for additive manufacturing powder QC.

For the complete product detail, application notes and publications, see: AZtecFeature on nano.oxinst.com.
