AZtecFeature is a particle analysis platform that automates the detection, morphological measurement, compositional analysis and classification of particle, granular and inclusion samples in the SEM. By measuring both composition and morphology on a particle by particle basis, AZtecFeature lets you interpret your data in real time with classification schemes and data review plots you build yourself.
All automatically acquired data is processed with AZtec's Tru-Q® algorithms to ensure reliability and accuracy in the identification and quantification of elements in your samples.
AZtecFeature runs inside your existing AZtec installation on a dedicated navigator. It is not a standalone application and does not need a separate download.
Unlike light-optical methods, AZtecFeature classifies particles and features not only by size and shape but also by chemical composition, or any combination of these. Typical applications include technical cleanliness, engine wear analysis, steel cleanliness, forensic analysis, geology and mineralogy, air filter analysis and asbestos fiber identification.
AZtecFeature is the platform underneath a family of dedicated modules, each licensed separately: AZtecSteel for non-metallic inclusions to international standards, AZtecClean for technical cleanliness to ISO 16232 and VDA 19, AZtecGSR for gunshot residue to ASTM 1588-20, AZtecMineral for automated mineralogy, AZtecBattery for cathode powder cleanliness and AZtecAM for additive manufacturing powder QC.
