Carbon based, highly electrically conductive, double sided adhesive discs, also known as Leit tabs. These sticky discs now have an improved backing which is easy to remove and peels away cleanly. They have been developed to eliminate background noise from SEM imaging. (9mm width, Pack of 100)
Carbon based, electrically conductive, double sided adhesive discs, also known as Leit tabs. They can be pressed onto a specimen stub and leave a conductive carbon adhesive when the backing material is removed. Ideal for examining uncoated small specimens in the SEM, and for microanalysis. These sticky discs now have an improved backing which is easy to remove and peels away cleanly. The double sided adhesive permits quick mounting of samples without using liquid or colloidal adhesives. Useful for securing samples for examination in an uncoated state. Availbale in 8mm, 12mm and 24mm diameter.
The simplicity of application and smooth, clean surfaces of these Tabs are a significant improvement compared to many of the other common adhesives that have been used in SEM mounting. Both tab sides have a thick conductive adhesive (conductive inner tab is 35µm and the adhesive is 45µm on each side for a total thickness of 125µm [5 mils]) with a liner on both sides, a transparent liner and white liner respectively. They are ready for immediate use. The top protective liner does not have to be removed until the sample is ready to be mounted. This reduces possible contamination. Outgassing is negligible.
May contain trace impurities of Si, Fe, Mg and Na.
Many laboratories use these tabs for SEM in a large diversity of applications. Refrigeration will increase shelf life but a warm up period of one hour is then required before use.
Tabs consist of a carbon fiber mat impregnated with carbon filled acrylic adhesive. There is no internal carrier film.
The tabs are highly electrically conductive and suitable for SEM or EDX applications.
