Video-rate or high speed scanning, is a special technique that takes fast scanning and turns the knob up to 11. In this technique, the probe scans at rates so fast that full images are routinely acquired in <1 second – taking on a video-like quality.

This mode requires specialized hardware available only on Vero or Cypher VRS & VRS1250; as well as AFM probes referred to as “ultra-short” cantilevers, which are typically <10um long.
