Aluminized Mylar Inner Window (Optistat CF/DN new style). A useful window for X-ray and gamma ray applications. The type of window material selected will be determined by the wavelenth and intensity of the radiation, the environmental temperature and whether or not beam polarisation is required.

The OptistatCF-V is a vacuum loading continuous flow cryostat.
Liquid cryogen is drawn from a separate helium or nitrogen storage dewar and circulated through the heat exchanger in the cryostat. The cryogen flow is regulated by a needle valve on the transfer tube. Precise temperature control is obtained using an ITC temperature controller.
Aluminized Mylar Inner Window (Optistat CF/DN new style) and assembly Aluminised Mylar™ is a useful window for X-ray and gamma ray applications. For X-rays its transmission is greater than 90% with some diffuse scattering at low angles.
Standard windows are 125 µm thick with a 0.3 µm thick aluminium coating on one side. Thin film window 0.127mm thick, inner window assembly with 15mm clear diameter. Aluminized mylar is metalized BOPET, BOPET coated with a thin layer of metal, usually aluminum foil. The metal is heated and evaporated under vacuum.
