COURSE NAME: ION BEAM Equipment Training

Examine and explore, in detail, the various hardware blocks, software diagnostic options and electrical schematics of your system. You'll learn:

  • The onsite Equipment Training compromises of the following core units, additional units can be added as required based on the hardware platform.
  • System H&S
  • System health checks and benchmarking tool performance
  • Software- Using service mode to isolate and diagnose faulty components, writing recipes to automate system health checks
  • Introduction to Vacuum
  • Log viewer for identifying system health trends
  • Using Team viewer for remote assistance
  • Location of the main hardware components
  • Full Schematic walkthrough
  • X20 PLC and the diagnostic viewer
  • EN13849 (Machinery Standard Safety Circuit)
  • RF Matching and the Automatic Matching Unit (AMU)
  • Basic maintenance procedures
  • Fault identification and example diagnosis
  • Handling configuration including wafer placement
  • Optional candidate assessment included (multi-choice question sheet)
  • Note: Training is performed within the 12 month warranty period, time and date to be agreed with regional service team. The system panels will be removed along with some internal component covers for the purposes of demonstration. Vacuum critical components will not be disturbed to maintain system integrity and process performance.

The course content is adapted to the needs and experience of those attending and includes:Health and safety working on and around the tool, Plasma etching and deposition, System overview and examination of internal components Fault finding, troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance ( Theory and Practical) are the main topics. The courses are held either at our UK headquarters or at your premises, utilising your own Oxford Instruments systems.

Payment Policy

Our eStore allows customers to pay for their order by prepaid methods like debit & credit card, paypal or prepaid invoice via a bank transfer and through postpaid net 30 days invoice. If you wish to pay by card or paypal, you don’t need to communicate with us first and you can also check out as guest. If you wish to pay by prepaid bank transfer, you will have to register a MyOI account first, then request to ecommerceteam@estore.oxinst.com to activate prepaid bank transfer (Proforma invoice) on your MyOI account.

If you wish to pay by net 30 days invoice, you will have to request this when you register a MyOI account. Please be aware that only customers with previous business with Oxford Instruments will be authorised to pay by net 30 day invoice. You can explain your previous business with Oxford Instruments when you register your MyOI account. If your institution or company doesn’t have any previous business relationship with Oxford Instruments, you will be asked to place at least 3 prepaid orders through the eStore before we can consider your request.

Our eStore is managed by our ecommerce partner Modus Link. This means that on the e-invoice, you will see both the ModusLink and Oxford Instruments logos. If you wish to pay by net 30 day invoice, you will have to send us a PO with ModusLink as supplier, because the invoice will have to be paid into ModusLink’s bank account, so we need to make sure ModusLink is a registered vendor in your system and payment won’t be delayed.
