This upgrade kit, for use with the LLT transfer tubes, enables automated cryogen flow control. The kit comprises a motor/gear box assembly, which replaces the manual adjustment knob.
A supplied interface cable (E5-805) connects the motor to an Oxford Instruments temperature controller such as the MercuryiTC (E3-101) with an Auxiliary card (E3-413). The temperature controller determines the proper cryogen flow and heater current to obtain optimum cryostat performance at the established temperature target. Thus the automated needle valve provides hands-off cryostat operation from 2 K to 500 K. For use with MercuryiTC (E3-101) with an Auxiliary card (E3-413).
