Microstat He2 tail set providing four optical access ports fitted with Spec B windows. Spectrosil B (Spec B) is a synthetic vitreous silica. The material itself is not birefringent. It is an excellent material for filtering out the nearmid IR room temperature thermal radiation, resulting in a low thermal load on the cryostat. The transmission data is for a 2 mm thick window. Spec B windows • Top and bottom ports 20 mm clear - 1.0mm Spec B • Side ports 10 mm clear -0.5mm thick Spec B • Tail width 30 mm and height 22 mm for distance 60.5 mm from the end. • Working distance to sample 5.5 mm from the side and 6.5 mm from the top (with sample just visible in both windows)
