This range of carbon films has been prepared to provide a very convenient, ready-to-use specimen support. Carbon films on copper grids are thin and highly transparent to electrons, offering fine grain and low contrast that does not interfere with specimen structure.

A thin film of pure carbon deposited on one side of the grid. Mechanically not as stable as formvar films, but show better electrical and heat conduction in the electron beam.
The thickness range is as follows:carbon film is manufactured by a Formar free process which eliminates the risk of Formvar contamination.
Supplied as packs of 25 or 50 grids in a grid box.
